Pets

We have two lovely Alaskan Malamutes. Alaskan Malamutes are sled dogs, built a little stockier than the Siberian Husky, are working dogs and would be used for heavy sleds, vs for speed. We do carting and packing with our dogs during the cooler months.

Kona was named after the Kona winds of Hawaii. She would burst around like a gust of wind as a puppy, which we later found out was called, "Zoomies". She still does it, though not as often. She's a talker, and occasionally a cuddle bug. Kona loves kids, especially her human kids.

Obahoshee (Obi), means Red Wolf. Obi is my problem child.  He can really try my patience and temper. He loves kids and people. He's the one who doesn't mind laying next to you, and he's the one who knows when something is wrong.

If you are considering a Malamute, this is one of my favorite places for information and friends. http://www.wildpaw.com/forum/index.php

We also have leopard geckos, fish and a southern toad. Our tropical tank is small, but established with live plants, and seems to be it's own mini eco system at this point.  The goldfish are Batman and Robin.
